Executive Assistant
Hayley is an executive assistant at the Centre for Public Impact.
She joined the CPI team in 2024.
Hayley holds an Associate’s Degree in Human Services from Onondaga Community College, a path she chose due to her deep commitment to helping others and strengthening her community.
Coming from a long line of public servants in local government, Hayley has always been drawn to roles that support impactful work. Prior to joining CPI, she served as the Senior Executive Assistant to Mayor Ben Walsh in Syracuse, NY. In this role, she played a pivotal part in managing high-level operations, coordinating executive priorities, and ensuring the efficiency of the Mayor’s office. Hayley also oversaw constituent services, working directly with residents to address concerns, connect them to resources, and improve city services. This experience deepened her belief that governments work best when they listen to and collaborate with the communities they serve—an approach that aligns with CPI’s mission to help public institutions become more human-centred and innovative.
Those who know Hayley would describe her as the glue that keeps everything running smoothly—whether at work, at home, or anywhere in between. Her family often jokes that she’s the counsellor of the group, the one everyone turns to for advice, support, and a steady hand in navigating life’s challenges. They admire how she manages to juggle being a wife and mum, excelling in her career, training a service dog, and always being there for others in need.
Outside of work, Hayley loves spending time with her husband and their energetic 7-year-old son. As a family, they enjoy travelling, often planning trips around amusement parks, with Disney World being their favourite annual tradition. Recently, they welcomed a Saint Berdoodle puppy into the family, which Hayley is training as a service dog for her son. She also enjoys trying new dinner recipes and practising Pilates.
