our relationship with BCG

Centre for Public Impact was founded by BCG (Boston Consulting Group) in 2015.

“In our work with governments we observe that there is a significant slippage between policy aspirations and citizen impact. There are many reasons for that and we at Boston Consulting Group believed we could make a contribution to addressing the causes of this failure to deliver the desired impact, but others inside and outside governments could too. That is why we founded the Centre for Public Impact.”

BCG founded Centre for Public Impact (CPI) in 2015 as a not-for-profit foundation dedicated to improving the effectiveness of governments and public institutions worldwide.

In the following decade, CPI grew to partner with numerous governments, charities, and organisations working in and around public services. Now, CPI has established itself at the forefront of public sector innovation, implementation, and impact.

CPI is an independent registered charity, whose sole purpose is to promote our charitable aims. BCG continues to provide important support that enables us to work innovatively and advance our mission through a grant and via the expertise of senior BCG staff members on our Board of Trustees.

As CPI has grown, we now work with a range of funders to support our programmes worldwide. BCG remains a valued partner of CPI, and we collaborate on specific programmes where our unique blend of expertise can best serve the needs of changemakers.
