
Head of Communications, Europe
Aurora Horwood is Head of Communications for Europe at Centre for Public Impact.
She joined the CPI team in 2021.
Aurora has a MPhil in Political Thought and Intellectual History from the University of Cambridge, and an MA in History from the University of Cambridge.
Aurora is a communications expert who has excelled across non-profits, the private sector, and government. She supported Frontline to become the UK’s most prominent social-work charity and led impactful global campaigns at the Prime Minister’s Office. Now, she heads communications for the Centre for Public Impact in Europe, inspiring changemakers to tackle the world’s biggest challenges and do government differently.
Aurora advised the Philippine government on developing ‘Make it Happen in the Philippines’, their first-ever international marketing campaign to attract foreign investment, which was launched with support from high-profile stakeholders, including the president and senior ministers.
At CPI, she is passionate about exploring and sharing new ideas – providing a platform for people to share their stories about how they’re spearheading change worldwide.
Aurora oversaw the production and launch of the first season of the Reimagining Government podcast, which explores radical new approaches to addressing global issues and spotlights government changemakers. The podcast reached the top 10 of Apple Podcasts’ Government charts in 13 countries and featured in the top 50 in 12 countries.
In her leisure time, Aurora enjoys travel, photography, music, and running, as well as spending time with friends and family.
