Programme Manager
Beatriz is Programme Manager at Centre for Public Impact.
She joined the CPI team in 2020.
Beatriz holds a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration from Universidad Carlos III in Spain and a Master in International Development from Clemson University and ICADE.
Prior to CPI, she worked for the United Nations World Tourism Organisation, the UN agency responsible for the development and promotion of sustainable tourism. During this time, Beatriz worked closely with +40 Ministries across the globe to design participatory tourism policies and organise high-level conferences (+500 participants) to deliver greater impact to residents, protect the environment, and enhance the socio-cultural heritage of communities.
While working for CPI, Beatriz has tackled projects across different topics. During her time in the Digital Innovation Initiative for Bloomberg Philanthropies and the Urban Imaginaries programme developed for the United National Development Program (UNDP), she explored innovative approaches for governments to deliver greater impact and helped governments apply new methods – participatory approaches, systems thinking, experimentation – to better meet residents’ needs and create cities of the future that support the people and the planet.
When conducting a strategic analysis to help the UNICEF mental health coalition to refine its vision, build a stronger program of work, and centre learning and relationships across its members, she took a deep dive into changing processes and ways of working to redistribute power to local contexts and centre equity.
Beatriz also participated in the design and implementation of the impact challenge for Google.org called Strengthening Democracy in Europe in 2024. Here, she explored the potential AI offers for making government and systems more efficient, transparent, and inclusive.
She has written several publications, among which:
