Senior Associate, North America
Elysse Delia Alvarado is a Senior Associate with the North America team at Centre for Public Impact.
She joined CPI in 2022.
Elysse has a BA in International Relations and Global Studies from the University of Texas at Austin.
She taught Citizenship and Civic Engagement classes at the Central American Resource Center (CARECEN) in D.C. She is also a member of the Built Environment Committee at the Downtown Austin Alliance.
Elysse is passionate about CPI’s work in building trust in government by involving those most affected by issues and creating a collaborative environment where residents, stakeholders, and public servants work together. During her time with the ET4HS programme, she was inspired by the city teams’ dedication and drive to engage directly with their communities to increase health equity. Witnessing their commitment to fostering partnerships and co-creating solutions reinforced her belief in the power of collaborative innovation to address complex challenges and build a more equitable society.
When she’s not working, Elysse enjoys hiking with her dog at Texas State Parks, traveling, reading, making wonky ceramics bowls, and enjoying live music on a patio.
