
Senior Associate, North America
Micah is Senior Associate at Centre for Public Impact.
She joined the CPI team in 2025.
Micah holds a BFA in Industrial Design from the Rhode Island School of Design, with a concentration in Nature-Culture-Sustainability Studies. Relevant courses included Urban Interactions, Planning for Sustainable Concentrations, and the Maharam STEAM Fellowship in the Providence Department of Planning and Development.
They also completed a Master’s in City Planning for the University of Pennsylvania, with a special focus on Housing, Community, and Economic Development. Relevant courses included Negotiation and Conflict Resolution, a practicum in Nighttime Economies, and a summer internship in the Philadelphia Office of Transportation and Infrastructure Systems doing data visualization for traffic safety.
In terms of volunteer work, Micah is Co-founder and Creative Director of the coveillance collective, a community-based collective using interactive arts-based methods to build communal counter-power against public and private surveillance.
They were involved as a Design Associate with Community Planning Collaborative in Berkeley, CA, where they helped design, build, and launch the ADU Plans Gallery, a software product that accelerates affordable housing development and helps cities meet state program requirements.
Micah also served as Communications Strategist with the Elections Group, supporting elections officials across the US in improved processes and more transparent communications leading up to and through the 2024 election season.
They are passionate about the power of local government in achieving systems change, especially in alleviating poverty and achieving climate resilience. In that power, Micah resonates with the people-focused nature of CPI’s work – building individual and organizational capacity to solve complex problems.
Micah is proud to have welded their own bicycle frame using steel and brass during a study abroad trip in Japan, and rides it almost everyday. Outside of work, Micah enjoys dancing to hard electronic music in dark crowded rooms.
