For over a decade, we have worked alongside partners in 58 cities across 15 countries in Latin America. Our work in the region reflects years of innovative practices, learning, and a commitment to helping governments unlock new possibilities.
We partner with governments to address complex public challenges, engage partners, institutions, and civil society, and to reimagine government across Latin America.
CPI’s Collective is an initiative where governments and changemakers from around the world come together to solve public challenges that no single organisation can fix alone. The cohort ‘Innovation for Democracy in Latin America’ brought together 15 leading organisations from government, civil society, philanthropy, and academia across six countries.
They developed and tested three concrete solutions that strengthened democracy, transparency, and trust between governments and citizens in Colombia and Costa Rica.
In August 2026, CPI, RIL (Red de Innovación Local), and UNDP convened 30 of Latin America’s most innovative mayors in Panama City to drive public good. This initiative moves beyond traditional conferences, creating a trusted, safe space for leaders to navigate complex governance challenges from AI adoption to service delivery.
The Google.org Impact Challenges are global initiatives, managed in partnership with CPI, that provide grant funding and technical assistance to high-impact projects that leverage AI for social good. This includes support for Latin American organizations such as Wuqu’ Kawoq, which used the challenge to develop an AI-driven tool designed to improve maternal and neonatal health outcomes in rural Guatemala.
CPI supported UNDP by featuring LATAM case studies in research and interviews to build learning reports and follow-up workstreams.
CPI supported the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) and member countries (including Brazil, Argentina, and Mexico) in developing the Goa Roadmap for Tourism as a Vehicle for Achieving the SDGs.
CPI hosted and facilitated a leadership retreat in Morocco for BIPOC women leaders, including alumni of CPI’s Collective I4DLATAM in Brazil and Argentina.
